| General - General Discussion [ RantRantRant ] ~ Posted: Sep 9 2010, 02:23 AM | lolol I only just noticed GL's comment XD Or as my friends like to codeword it as for some reason, "pizza" O_<
It IS annoying. I hate how it starts when we're merely 10ish. It's not as if we're planning of having kids then, we won't be doing that for another 15ish years. | | The Author's Corner - Original Fiction Corner [ The Girl without Even a Name ] ~ Posted: Aug 21 2010, 01:43 AM | This book I read had a similar name, The Girl With No Name. XD;

Really though. It's always the more, erm ionno what to call them x__x, "popular girls" who choose the music to play on their iPods when we're playing sport in the gym. (Y'know, the thing that you can stick your iPod in to play the music out loud.). And yeah y'know, I rarely like the music we get nowdays like the r'n'b stuff and hip hop and blah.
My friend and I decided we wanted to see their reactions if we played our Asian music. We got permission from the teacher to play a song each.
My friend went first and played the Lucky Star opening XD Everyone was puzzled but kept playing badminton to it.
My turn was up, so I decided to choose a Korean song that I have come to like a lot recently. Only 20 seconds of it had been played when the girls, who were at least kind enough to bare with Japanese music they barely knew, demanded I switch to a new song. I grudgingly changed it to Joker and the Thief, which is both a more fitting song to play sport to and an epic song.
But obviously they didn't appreciate the epicness of rock music either. That song wasn't even finished when one wanted to play music on her iPod. I coldly agreed to it and dozed in and out of the dullness of badminton.
Well, it'd be expected that a class with little Asian background would not like the idea of listening to song in a language they don't even know XP But still. I just felt rejected, knowing that they didn't care about my thoughts. I rarely choose the songs, and the fact that they brushed me away was annoying.
And I was partly annoyed because of my friend as well >.> She did nothing wrong. But it was the fact that no one objected to her music, which consisted of the Lucky Start opening AND the Caramelldansen (I spent quite a bit of time dancing to that during the lesson 8D), and yet no one bothered to care about me. |
